THINGS YOU NEED TO CONSIDER BEFORE MAKING YOUR APPOINTMENT,

  • Sun bathing, while your brows are healing with result in faded brows/lips

  • Swimming in the sea or chlorinated water will fade brow/lips

  • Check any supplements you are currently taking are not going to effect the tattooing

  • Check with your Doctor is you have any medical issues or currently taking medication that could be effected by the tattooing

  • If you are undergoing Chemo or have in the last 6 months you will need a Doctors clearance letter to proceed with tattooing

  • Do you get Hyperpigmentation

WHO SUITS COSEMTIC TATTOOING AND THE BENEFITS OF HAVING COSMETIC TATTOOING?

  • Not having to apply brow power/pencil every day

  • Lip blushing, if you want effortless natural looking gorgeous lips with out having to apply your favourite nude lipstick or tinted balm.

  • If you suffer from any hair loss or patchy areas in your brows, Microblading and Powder Brows can give a realistic natural looking brow.

  • Anyone that wants to have beautiful looking brows 24/7 with no effort required

WHAT IS LIP BLUSHING

  • Lip Blush is a semi permanent makeup that enhances the beauty of the natural lip colour it can also create the illusion of fuller more defined lips. The end result is a beautiful colour that looks like it could be your own with a more pronounced shape. Buying soft and natural looking lip balms and lipsticks will no longer be necessary just add a clear balm or gloss for that gorgeous Boho look.  I can custom blend the perfect colour to suit your requirements and specialize in natural looking colour tones that won't date. Two procedures are required a month apart.

  • 1st treatment from consult to finish takes approx. 2 hours. A single needle tattoo gun is used and we go over your lips approx. 4 or 5 times. As the skin on your lips is extra porous the anaesthesia ointment is much more effective than it would be on your brows. Your lips will look like you have had fillers directly after the procedure but that settles after the 1st day. You will need to apply ointment several times a day and you can expect some flaked skin. The colour will fade and then come back after a couple of weeks.

  • 2nd treatment is a repeat of the 1st a month later. The colour retention should be a lot better. For the best results and a more natural look the pigment is progressively built up rather than trying to fill in your lips with a solid block colour.

  • You will need apply a lip balm 4 times a day the week prior to your lip blushing  drink the required 2 to 3 litres of water a day. If you are dehydrated the lips are difficult to tattoo and the retention will not be as good.  The lip balm will help to ensure the skin is not dry at all.  If you come to the appointment and are dehydrated I will not be able to proceed with the lip blushing.

CAN I GET TATTOOING IF I AM UNDER THE AGE OF 18?

No cosmetic tattooing is carried out on anyone under the age of 18

CAN I GET TATTOOING IF I AM PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING

No cosmetic tattooing is carried out if you are pregnant.

If you are breast feeding it is best to wait until you have finished. If you do not wish to wait it is recommended expressing for 48 hours due to the topical anaesthetics used for the procedure. If you would like to proceed while breastfeeding it is advised you check with your Doctor beforehand.

AM I ABLE TO BRING SOMEONE WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Due to Corona Virus and the size of the studio there is no waiting room and as I required 100% concertation while doing the procedure, I don’t allow anyone beside the client in the studio.

Unfortunately, Children are strictly not allowed in the studio, if you bring children and I must turn you away you will forfeit your deposit.

ARE THEIR THINGS I SHOULD AVOID BEFORE MY PROCEDURE; Don’t Consume fish oil or Ibuprofen for minimum 7 days before your tattooing. Blood thinners can cause your body to reject the pigment and the retention period.

If you are taking blood thinners for medical reasons do not stop taking without your Doctors consent. Please do not consume Alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before your tattooing.

DOES IT HURT?A topical numbing cream is applied but you may still feel a little discomfort.

Make sure you are very well hydrated.

IF YOU SUFFER FROM THE CONDITION (OCD) OBESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISOREDER;

Cosmetic tattooing may not be suited to you. As our faces, brows and lips are not symmetrical it is not realistic to get your brows and lips a mirror image of the other side. While I take time to create symmetrical looking brows & lips they are never going to be exactly the same.

CONSULATION

The consult is usually done as apart of your initial treatment but If you are unsure about having the procedure you can opt to have a consultation beforehand, the cost is $50 and is redeemable against the price of your tattoo if you proceed. If you do not proceed the $50 is not refundable. As apart of the consult you will have to fill out medical history forms, then we will go into detail what look you would like to achieve. The outline is drawn on with a makeup pencil, this process and getting the correct shape can sometimes be time consuming, as I won’t commence the tattooing until you are happy. Once we have the shape I mark the outline with dots using a surgical pen and numbing cream is applied. Once the numbing cream has taken effect we start with the tattooing. Please allow up to 3 hours for the tattooing procedure depending on what style of tattooing you choose.

If you currently takeRoaccutaneyou will need to wait at least 6 months before your last tablet before you can proceed with tattooing. You will also need a letter from your Doctor to ensure you are able to go ahead with the tattooing.

PIGMENTS

The pigments are all especially designed and manufactured for cosmetic tattooing and come from reputable manufacturers in the US. Some of the Pigments are Iron Oxide base which is a non-reactive substance. One of my preferred brands is Tina Davis and Permablend.

There is a wide colour selection and colours can me mixed to get a better colour match if required.

Depending on which brand I use the retention can be 50% to 90%, if you choose a lighter colour it will heal even lighter. Depending on the individual some pigments hold much better than others. The results vary and no GUARANTEES can be given on how much the pigments holds for you.

The pigment always appears darker and more defined directly after the procedure is done but the colour will usually lighten with in 7 to 10 days. Your skin around the taDuring the healing process the brow usually flakes and you will loose some of the pigment that is perfectly normal.  Most clients will required a perfection visit 4 to 6 weeks later to  correct any healing issues and if required. It is best to book your perfection visit at your initial appointment and if you find you heal perfect you can cancel (as long as you give 72 hours notice).

PERFECTION VISIT

The perfection visit is for healing issues and to add more dimensions to the brow if required. This is done 4 to 6 weeks after the procedure; this allows the ink to settle. It is best to book your perfection visit at you’re initial visit, you can always cancel if its not required. The perfection touch up is $100 for Microblading and $140 for Ombre.

On the odd chance you require a 3rd visit there is no fee but you must get in contact with me within 3 weeks since your last procedure and the touch up must be completed within 6 weeks of your last procedure. If you want to change the colour it will be an additional $100 as the perfection visit if for healing issues only.

COLOUR TOUCH UPS

The procedure is semi-permanent and can start to fade after 9 months so you may require a touch up. Touch ups start at $100 depending on what method of tattooing you choose and are from the date of your last visit. Touch up visit prices are for existing clients only if you are new to Bohemian Brow Bar it is full price.

Fading can happen for various reasons depending on the individual, skin types, medication etc and most people require a touch up every 12 months.

Touch up prices are for Bohemian Brow Bar clients only.

CHANGING YOUR STYLE OF TATTOOING FROM FEATHER TO OMBRE OR COMBINATION

You are can chance between styles if you have had your brows done at Bohemian Brow Bar, the cost is $100 on top of your touch up price. The different styles have different touch up prices due to the time taken.
